Deposit Timing

As a general rule, card payments deposit within 2 business days and eCheck payments deposit within 7 business days if the transaction is processed before 9:30pm eastern time.

Once the payment settles, the funds appear in your Available Balance in the Merchant Portal.

• Click Merchant Portal in the left sidebar (desktop) or hamburger menu (mobile).
• A new window will open with the login page for your merchant account.
• Enter the username and password for your Merchant Portal Login. This is different than the primary login you use to access Project 2 Payment. (See Why two logins? for more information)
• Click the Log In button.
• You should see an Account Balance tile on the dashboard or you can go to Payouts in the left sidebar and an Account Balance tile will appear at the top of the page.

Payouts are created at 6pm eastern time and normally process same day. If there is $10 or more in your available balance, a payout is automatically created to send the money to your bank account. If the sum of settled payments is less than $10, the funds will stay in your available balance until the minimum amount is met.

You should receive two emails confirming deposit activity. 

• Your withdrawal has been requested - this notification is sent when a payout has been created. The payout create date is what determines when the funds will hit your bank account.
• Your withdrawal has been processed - this notification confirms that funds were successfully sent. You should see them in your bank account on the next business day.

The tables below are based on typical deposit behavior if there are no issues at your bank and no risk holds on the merchant account. Please keep in mind that there is no movement of funds on weekends and holidays. 

Credit Card Payments

Example: Funds from a credit card payment created before 9:30pm eastern time on Monday, April 15th should be in your bank account on Wednesday, April 17th.

eCheck Payments

Example: Funds from an eCheck payment created before 9:30pm eastern time on Monday, April 15th should be in your bank account on Wednesday, April 24th.
