There are two key reports in the merchant portal that will be very useful to your daily operations for tracking activity - Transactions and Transaction Details.
Transactions
- Go to Reports in the left sidebar.
- Select Transactions from the dropdown menu.
- Use the Report Date dropdown to select your desired preset or custom date range.
- Click Advance Filters in the upper right corner for additional options such as date captured instead of date created and only seeing certain payment methods.
- Click Generate Report. It may take a few moments depending on the amount of data.
The results will generate on screen as a summary of all sales, refunds, and the net total. Both transaction counts and dollar amounts are displayed. Click on the Merchant Name to see the list of transactions. Click an individual item to view transaction details.
Please note that the .csv and .xls export options on this page only export summary information. The list of transactions is not included in the export.
Transaction Details
Unlike the Transactions report, the Transaction Details report provides additional data such as cardholder information, the transaction type, and the status of transactions.
- Go to Reports in the left sidebar.
- Select Transaction Details from the dropdown menu.
- Select which report you would like to run, Quick Reports or Include all up to date data. See below to learn more about these two options.
- Use the Report Date dropdown to select your desired preset or custom date range.
- Use the Filter By dropdown to select By Merchant.
- Select your company name from the Merchant dropdown.
- Click Generate Report. It may take a few moments depending on the amount of data. If you leave that page to work in another area of the portal, simply go to Report History in the left sidebar to locate your file.
The Quick Reports option only generates a download file to review in a Microsoft Excel .csv format. No results are displayed onscreen. Even if today's date is included in the specified date range, data from today is not included in the report. Data provided in this report includes transaction type, create and capture dates, transaction status, general details about the card or bank account, transaction fees, and net deposit amounts.
The Include all up to date data view returns a real-time report all transactions in a list view on screen that includes today's data if today is included in your specified date range. You have the option to download results in .csv or .xls format and choose whether you want just the visible data or if you would like to export all data. The extra data in the full export includes your merchant account information, cardholder information (address, phone number, email address), issuing bank details, and a Payrix internal transaction ID for tracking purposes.
