Almost any filtered report in the merchant portal can be saved as a template for later use so you can re-use it quickly without having to re-create it every time.
- Click Merchant Portal in the left sidebar (desktop) or hamburger menu (mobile) or click here.
- A new window will open with the login page for your merchant account.
- Enter the username and password for your Merchant Portal Login. This is different than the primary login you use to access Project 2 Payment. (See Why two logins? for more information)
- Click the Log In button.
- Go to Reports in the left sidebar.
- Select a report from the dropdown menu.
- Apply all necessary filters. Some reports have an Advanced Filters button in the upper right corner to further refine your results.
- Once you have all filters set the way you want them, locate the Templates dropdown with the other filter fields.
- Click into the dropdown and click the Add Template button.
- Enter a unique name for your template.
- Click Save Template.
The next time you select that report type from the dropdown, you can simply select your template from the Templates dropdown menu and click Generate Report. There is no need to set any other filters.
Edit a template name
- Go to the Templates dropdown menu.
- Locate the report name you wish to edit and click the edit icon.
- Update the name.
- Click Save Template.
Remove a template
- Go to the Templates dropdown menu.
- Locate the report name you wish to delete.
- Click the delete icon next to the template.
- Click Remove to confirm you would like to delete.
