What is the Email Blast feature?

Email Blast has the same functionality as the Send Email button on an individual customer record, but you can send the same email to multiple customers in your Customer List. This feature could be used to send seasonal reminders, newsletters, or requests for referrals, etc. 

Please note that outgoing messages and delivery statuses are not saved in Project 2 Payment and, if the customer replies, the message is sent to the business email address affiliated with your account. 

If your email only has one recipient, we recommend using the Send Email feature in that customer to streamline the process.

Create the email

  1. If you are on desktop, go to the left sidebar. If you are in the mobile app or in a web browser on a mobile device, go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
  2. Click on Customers.
  3. Click the Email Blast tab on the right.
  4. Use the checkboxes on the left to select which customers you want to email or use the Select All box at the top of the list. A box cannot be checked if the customer record does not contain an email address. If your list of customers is multiple pages, checked boxes will save as you click through the pages.
  5. The Email x Selected Customers button at the bottom of the page confirms the number of accounts you are about to message. Click to continue.
  6. The Subject is the line of text your customers will see when the message arrives in their inbox. The limit is 95 characters (with spaces). 
  7. The Greeting will sit in front of each Customer Name to create a professional opening for your message. If you do not make any changes, we will use Dear {Customer Name}. You are not able to customize customer names for the email. You would need to edit the customer first.
  8. Start typing the body of your message in the Message box. Although the message is branded for your business, we recommend including a courteous closing line and your name or business name. 
  9. Click the Preview Email button to see a draft of what your customers will receive.

Preview and send the email blast

If the message looks good, click Send Email to send the message. 

If you need to make changes, click back to return to the previous page and modify your message. 

If you change your mind, click cancel in the upper right corner.
