Create a project request or contact page for your website! Submissions easily convert to customers and projects.
Summary of Essential Steps
|
Design a layout
Take some time to think about how you are going to use the page and what information you need from your customer.
- Is this a contact form to build a customer database for future marketing? If so, what information do you need - name, phone number, email address, potential project needs?
- Do you want to collect enough basic information to respond with a quote or are your customers just submitting a request to be contacted to discuss future work?
- Do you want to minimize the back and forth and let customers build their own project proposal? You can make revisions and reply with an estimate for approval or simply accept the request to turn it into a project.
There can be several advantages and disadvantages to putting all your products, services, and pricing on the request page so it is important to consider the outcomes and know what will work best for you.
|
Begin creating your page
- If you are on desktop, go to the left sidebar. If you are in the mobile app or in a web browser on a mobile device, go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Request Page/Contact Form.
- Add the title you would like to appear at the top of the page.
- Select an option for Project Address fields on the form - require the full address, display all fields but only require the zip, display all fields but none are required, or do not display project address fields.
- Customize the thank you message that appears on screen after your customer submits the form.
- Customize the wording of the automated email customers will receive confirming receipt of their request.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save to save your progress.

Add select products/services (optional)
If you decide not to display specific products/services for customers to include in their project request, skip this section.
To display products/services, go to the Show Selectable Products/Services section of Request Page settings and begin adding items.
- Click Add Items to begin building your project.
- Use Select From Library to add items that already exist in your Item Library and click the Add to Request Page button. Once added, you can click Edit to customize the item for this page.
- Otherwise, click Create New Item to add something new.
- Repeat this process until all items are added.
- Review the list of items, quantities, and dollar amounts for accuracy and adjust as necessary. Pay special attention to units. If you choose to display pricing and unit is blank, the price will appear as a flat fee.
- Select an option for Show Item Price. If you select Yes, customers will see the price per unit. If you select No, they will only see your list of products/services.
- Select an option for Request Quantity Selection. If you select Yes, customers have the control to specify limits on each item. If you select No, you can wait to convey recommended quantities in your estimate based on what is required for the project.
|
Turn on your page
- Scroll back up to the top of the Request Page settings.
- Change the toggle to On. This will reveal your Request Form URL.
- Scroll back down to the bottom of the page and click Save.
Turning the page on and off does not change the URL. However, customers will not be able to access the page when it is Off in Settings.

Add the page to your website
- Go back to Request Page Settings and locate the Request Page URL.
- Click the Copy URL to Clipboard button if you are adding a new page or click the Copy Embed Code button for the code to embed the form in-line on an existing page.
- Add a new page to your website and link it to your URL or embed the form on an existing page. If you are using a web designer to update your website, send them the URL or embed code according to what you are going to have done.
A great way to enhance the user experience is to use a slide out presentation for the new page. If that interests you, please reach out to support@project2payment.com and request a copy of the slide out script.
