A payment policy link appears alongside links to our privacy and terms of use policies in the footer of any anonymous web page such as a payment page, project request/contact page.
This is where customers go to access the payment policy for your business. If you do not have a policy added in Payment Settings, the link will open a blank web page. However, as soon as the content added in settings is saved, the Payment Policy page will automatically refresh to display your policy.
Creating a payment policy is essential to streamline your business operations, foster trust, and ensure timely payments from customers. When you have a clear policy, your customers know when payment is due and can prepare to have the funds available. Customers are more likely to comply when they understand your expectations, which leads to a positive long-term relationship. Additionally, a well-crafted policy provides you with legal protection if a customer fails to pay for services rendered. Be sure to include specific information about important details surrounding deposits, cancellations, refunds, etc.
