Recurring projects

Now you can add multiple occurrences to one project instead of duplicating projects each time the same customer needs the same job again. Set a fixed schedule for things like weekly cleaning and monthly lawncare maintenance or keep a project open and add on-demand occurrences like snow plowing as needed until you decide the project is complete. There are many scheduling options ranging from weekly to annually based on the date of the first occurrence. The option to add specific appointment times and assign employees links to the new Schedule module and helps with more precise project reminders for your customers.
Recurring projects follow an invoicing schedule that automatically runs at regular intervals to pull in all occurrences since the last bill and generate an invoice. There are also three options for collecting payment on recurring invoices: automatically charge a saved payment method, automatically send the invoice to the customer for payment, or manually queue. Manually queue still follows the same schedule and automatically generates invoices, but saves in drafts and you decide when/how to send it to your customer.

Schedule

The new Schedule module lets you see all projects and estimates at-a-glance making it easier to plan work and schedule employees. Choose from month, week, or day calendar views depending on your needs and filter by employee to refine results.
Invoice enhancements

Each item has a new description field where you can add details about the work to be done. The line item will have an expand/collapse arrow your customer can use to view the description. Descriptions on items in your library can be changed for specific projects without updating the library.
When you create an invoice, you can write a note to your customer that will appear as a block of text at the bottom of the page. We also added a preview link so you can see what it will look like before you send.
Send messages

We added two new email options to your customer database. Send Email lets you send updates to your customer through email messages that have the same look and feel as your project, invoice, and payment notifications. Email Blast has the same functionality, but the email can be sent to multiple customers at once! This feature is useful for sending seasonal reminders, newsletters, announcements, and upcoming deals.
Send an on-demand branded email to a happy customer asking them to review your business online. Wording is completely customizable (with formatting options) and you can preview before you send!
