Turn on tipping
Tipping is completely optional for your customers, but a great way to boost your revenue and recognize your hard work! It is available wherever your customer can enter a payment making it easy to show their appreciation for your services - customer-facing invoices, your payment page, take payment - and you decide which locations to enable.
- If you are on desktop, go to the left sidebar. If you are in the mobile app or in a web browser on a mobile device, go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Payment Settings and go to the Enable Tipping section.
- Select the places where you would like the tipping option to appear to customers.
- We have a default message that appears above the buttons. You are welcome to use our message or replace it with your own custom message.
- Click Save.

What tipping looks like
The option to add a tip appears at the bottom of the page just above the Pay button. Customers can quickly select suggested amounts of 10%, 15%. and 20% or click Custom to enter something different.

The amount on the Pay button will automatically update and the emailed receipt shows a breakdown of the subtotal, tip, and total amount charged.

Why ask for online reviews
The best way to generate more business is to ask customers to share their experience with others. Online reviews help to build trust and credibility.
When customers are happy with your work, they want to help your business grow by sharing their experience with others. These recommendations are the first thing potential customers look for when doing their research.

Enable your online review link
- If you are on desktop, go to the left sidebar. If you are in the mobile app or in a web browser on a mobile device, go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Online Review Link.
- Change the toggle for Email Review Link to On.
- Use the default message or create your own.
- Add your Review Page URL Link. This is your preferred review provider's reviews page link where customers would post feedback.
- Click Save.

Send review requests
After you turn on the online review link, your review request message and link will automatically appear at the bottom of every receipt.
You will also be able to send an on-demand email to ask a happy customer to review your business online. The link is automatically placed in the center of the message, but wording is completely customizable with formatting options.
- Go to Customers.
- Locate the customer you want to email.
- Click the magnifying glass to view the customer record.
- If you are in the mobile app or in a web browser on a mobile device, click Actions in the upper right corner.
- Click Request Online Review.
- Use the default subject line or create your own.
- Use the default greeting, message, and salutation or create your own.
- Click Preview Email.
- Click back to make changes or click Send Request to send.
