Sending regular email blasts is a quick and easy way to stay connected with your customers.
Summary of Essential Steps
|
Pick a topic
Here are some great reasons for reaching out to your customers.
- Seasonal reminders to schedule service
- Important business updates
- Customer appreciation messages
- Newsletters
- Requests for referrals
Once you have decided on a topic, you can begin creating your message so it is ready to go when you begin building your email blast.

Decide on the distribution list
Think about the content of your email. Is it relevant to all of your customers or does it make more sense to target a select group? If this is a targeted campaign, decide on the list of recipients so the list is ready when you build the email blast.
It is also helpful to review your customer list. The customer name will pull into the greeting of your email. Does any data need to be cleaned up? Are there potential customers on the distribution list who are not in your customer database yet?

Build and send your email blast
- If you are on desktop, go to the left sidebar. If you are in the mobile app or in a web browser on a mobile device, go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
- Click on Customers.
- Click over to the Email Blast tab.
- Use the Select All box at the top of the list or manually select certain customers. If your list of customers is multiple pages, checked boxes will save as you click through the pages.
- When finished selecting customers, look at the count on the Email x Selected Customers button at the bottom of the page to verify it matches the number of accounts you want to message.
- Click the button to continue to the next step.
- Enter the subject line for your email (95 character limit with spaces).
- Create a custom salutation that will sit in front of {Customer Name} or use the default salutation, Dear. Customer Name is pulled directly from the customer record.
- Type the body of your email message. Although the message is branded for your business, we recommend including a courteous closing line and your name or business name.
- Click Preview Email to see a draft of what your customers will receive before you send. To make changes, click the back link to return to the previous page. If you change your mind, click cancel in the upper right corner to cancel the email blast.
- If the message looks good, click Send Email.
