All transaction fees are deducted from the payout instead of waiting to debit your bank account one lump sum every month. Once a payment has funded, you can view the fees in the Merchant Portal.
- Click Merchant Portal in the left sidebar (desktop) or hamburger menu (mobile) or click here.
- A new window will open with the login page for your merchant account.
- Enter the username and password for your Merchant Portal Login. This is different than the primary login you use to access Project 2 Payment. (See Why two logins? for more information)
- Click the Log In button.
- Go to the left sidebar. Click Payment History to view all fees associated with a payment or Payouts to view the breakdown of all fees deducted from a deposit.
Payment History
- Use Search to locate the payment.
- Click any field to view transaction details. The details panel contains transaction information organized in section tabs on the left side of the panel.
- Click the Fees section tab.
- Information on this screen confirms the transaction amount, status, fees paid, and net funded.
Payouts
- Go to Payout History and use search to locate the correct payout.
- If this is your first payout, you will see an Alert in the middle of the page with the code Internal Alert. This is the code used to apply the standard delay to first deposits. The message provides the date when the payout will process to send the funds. See Deposit Timing for more details.
- If the status is Processed, click the Payout Details button.
- Sales - payment count, gross amount, fees deducted, and net funded amount for all funded payments.
- Miscellaneous Fees - occurrence fees such as payout fees, returned item fees, and chargeback fees.
- Rollover from last disbursement - the balance amounts that may be under one penny ($0.005 as an example) due to percentage based fees that were not funded in your last deposit due to rounding down.
- Not Paid Out - this is usually rollover amounts being held due to rounding down that will be funded in your next deposit.
Note: The $0.50 per payout fee is assessed after a payout is successfully completed. Therefore, it will appear in the details of your next deposit. This means you will not see a $0.50 payout fee under Miscellaneous Fees in the details of your first deposit. This is also why you usually see -$0.50 in your Account Balance right after a payout.
